Hi,

I have a PC running windows XP SP2, with CE V5.0 insatlled. When printing, the job is sent to the printer, however the card does not print.

The Printer is an XID 580ie and is set up as a network printer, there are three PC's that print to the XID, two of them are working just fine, just this one PC seems to be the problem.

Are you just plane printing or are you also using encoding. If you are only printing, is the printer totally not responding? Are you getting an error message?

can you please upgrade your Windows XP to service pack 3? There are some issues using .Net framework 3.5 with service pack 2. By the way Microsoft is planning or already stopped the support of Windows XP sp2.

It's Just plane printing, no encoding. When the print job is sent to the printer, no cards are printed. I tried a test print from the test print option on the printer itself, it printed out a test card, I also printed a window test page from the PC with the problem and after the windows test page printed, all the print jobs that were previosly unable to print beggan priniting.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try upgarding the PC to WIN XP SP3 and see if this clears the problem.

Please be also aware that if you are using a photo on the layout and there is no photo available, the standard behavior of CardExchange® is not to print the card. This behavior can be changed in the Photo Options in the Photo tab. It can also that you need to adjust the size of the card because there are some printers that respond to an over sized card by not printing it because the printer driver cannot handle that.
